Armando Pesce sits behind the wheel while his brother stands along side the truck. Armando immigrated to America from Italy at the age of 19 in 1911. Being that work was difficult to secure in New York he moved to Manchester knowing Cheney Brothers Silk Mills was hiring a good many immigrants. Armando met and married a girl while in New York. They would eventually buy a farm in Coventry and remain there until their later years when they would make their home in Manchester.
