The entertainment offered at Cheneys's [sic] hall next Monday evening will be one of rare merit. The main attraction will be the appearance of a double quartette of Swedish peasant girls from Stockholm in Dalecarlian costume. They have just arrived in this country after a tour of the principal cities of northern Europe where their beauty and phenomenal voices aroused the wildest enthusiasm. The company was organized by the late Prof. August Edgrene, choirmaster and director of the grand opera for the King of Sweden. Hon. W.W. Thomas, late United States minister writes of them

Mr. Edmund T. Phelan, who has been engaged [to] travel with the company this season is a humorist well known about Boston. He bears flattering testimonials from well known newspapers and individuals. In addition to humorous songs and character sketches he gives imitations of noted actors including Henry Irving, Henry Dixey, Dion Boucicault, Stuart Robson, Roland Reed, Joseph Jefferson, M.B. Curtis and John T. Raymond.
